Belvedere College - Development

Development

Welcome to the Development Office

The Development Office is the fundraising and alumni relations department of the College, responsible for managing Belvedere’s philanthropic programme and for building and sustaining lifelong links between Belvedere and its past pupil community, in close partnership with Belvedere Union.

Philanthropy is an important part of the Belvedere community, with many of the facilities currently in use by our students established through the generosity of parents, past parents, past pupils and friends of the College. We strive to build upon the work of previous generations in establishing state of the art facilities such as the O’Reilly Theatre and the Dargan & Moloney Science & Technology Block.

Our Campaign

This is an exciting time in the life of the College. Our current campaign, Advancing Excellence, was launched in October 2013, and has too date raised over €5,000,000 for our three strategic priorities:
• The development of modern, best-in-class facilities for all of our students
• Improvements to the educational opportunities available to students
• Strengthening our bursary programme, The Social Diversity Programme

Please see the Recent Achievements tab for more detail of individual projects.

Our Ambitious Plan (2017 – 2020)

Our goal for the next three years is to build upon the excellent start and achievements enabled by the generosity of donors to date by raising an additional €5 million. All funds raised will continue to fund our three key priorities of facilities, curriculum and the Social Diversity Programme, and will align with the College’s development plan.

To be successful, we will rely on parents, past pupils and friends of the College to help us build on the momentum that we have established to date. We look forward to speaking with many of you in due course, and look forward to sharing the specifics of our exciting plans.

Corporate Sponsors of the Social Diversity Programme

We are proud to count a number of local businesses and corporations as partners and current supporters of the Social Diversity Programme.

The support of local businesses is crucial in both enabling the College to continue to offer places to boys from disadvantaged backgrounds, and to help further create awareness about the need for society as a whole to continue to create opportunities for young people from all areas of Dublin city.
