Belvedere Business Club Trip

Belvedere Business Club Trip

Took place 20/11/19

By Garret Molloy (GX)

The Belvedere Business Club visited the Davy offices on 20th November 2019.  The business club members were greeted by Mr Robin Potter Coogan, Director of the Real Estate Division in Davy.

Davy is an independent company owned by management and staff. It is a leading provider of wealth management, asset management, capital markets and financial advisory services that offers a broad range of services to private clients, small businesses, corporation and institutional investors. Davy is over 90 years in business, it has 680 employees and just over €14b of assets under management.

We received an excellent presentation from the Davy team. They shared with us their financial insights, the various divisions within the Davy group, the businesses they offer and the clients they service. The vision of Davy is to be a partner most trusted by clients and most admired for its people. This clearly shows the emphasis Davy has on people, how important relationships are, the trust they have in each other built over time. We were also given a tour of the offices and got to meet more of the Davy team.

It was a fantastic afternoon, which we all thoroughly enjoyed and for some of us reinforced our views on a future in finance. It gave us all a realistic appreciation of the financial environment rather than the text book!

Thank you Davy and in particular Robin Potter Coogan.
