5th of 90 Top Athletes at the Irish Schools Championships



Brian Fay in Rh L finished 5th of 90 top athletes at the Irish Schools Championships, becoming the first Belvederian since Jayme Rossister in 2010 to win an individual medal at Cross Country.  Brian finished 7 seconds off 3rd place and was sandwiched between 2 track finalists from the 2016 European Youth Olympic Championships held in Tbilisi Georgia last summer.


Fay joins an illustrious group of recent OB medalists Sean Connolly (National Marathon Champion), Vinny Mulvey ( who went to 6 World Championships and 5 European Championships) and Killian Lonergan (Harvard School 10k Record Holder).

12th Place at the International Celtic Games Cross Country Event, Cardiff

Congratulations to Brian after taking 12th place at the Celtic Games cross country held in Cardiff on Sunday.

Fay was fourth man home in the Irish team behind the winner Derby A.C’s Hugo Milner.

Another good cross country performance from Brian as he makes his way into the Irish set-up.
