First World War History Competition

Posted: 31/05/2019

As a discretionary activity, Luke Flanagan (SA) submitted a 3,000-word essay on 'War neurosis' related to the homecoming of Irish troops to Ireland. This was a project launched by the National Library of Ireland and adjudicated by members from the Cultural Service of the French Embassy in Ireland, from the UCD Centre for War Studies, the History Teachers’ Association of Ireland, and from the National Library of Ireland.

We are delighted to share that Luke won the All Ireland prize. The ceremony took place at the National Library of Ireland on March 30th. Well done to Luke!
