Each year, Belvedere College S.J. hosts four Australian students on a ‘gap year’ after their graduation from Saint Ignatius' College, Riverview, a Jesuit school in New South Wales, Australia and St Joseph’s College, Melbourne, Australia.

Nick Radford attended St Joseph’s College, Hunters Hill, Sydney, and lives in Longueville. At school, Nick enjoyed Art as a subject and hobby, while also partaking in rugby and rowing. He looks forward to exploring Ireland and Europe and connecting with the staff and boys at Belvedere. Upon returning home, Nick plans to study International Security Studies at Australian National University in Canberra.

Philip Law attended Saint Ignatius' College, Riverview as a boarder from Hong Kong. At school, he was involved in various sports such as rugby, basketball and rowing. Some of Phil’s hobbies include cooking, walks on the beach, watching old movies and spending time with friends. Phil looks forward to coaching and assisting teachers at Belvedere before he goes home to study Advanced Computing at the University of Sydney.

Will Burns attended Saint Ignatius' College, Riverview as a boarder, from his original home of Canberra, Australia. He enjoyed both rowing and rugby at school as well as participating in Riverview athletics in his final years. Will's favourite activity is mountain biking, of which his home in Canberra has plenty of trails. He plans to study Science at the University of Sydney when he returns from his year with Belvedere. He is keen to involve himself in all aspects of the Belvedere school community.

Will Burke attended St Joseph's College, Hunter Hill, Sydney. He has spent the majority of his life living in Sydney. His interests includes surfing, skateboarding and mathematics. Upon his return home, Will plans to continue working while also attending University where he will study teaching. While at school Will competed in rugby and rowing and hopes to put his interest and knowledge of these sports to work while living here in Dublin.

These young men will provide invaluable help to members of staff each day while at Belvedere. We hope they enjoy their time with us and we look forward to working with each of them!
