Parents’ Association Presents

An Evening With David Coleman

David Coleman, clinical psychologist, broadcaster, author and OB 1989, will visit the O’Reilly Theatre on Wednesday 29th March. The main theme of the evening will be "building strong relationships with your teenagers" looking at areas such as communicating effectively, building self-esteem, managing technology and alcohol and drug use.

The talk will run for approximately one hour and there will be an opportunity to ask questions for about another half an hour. David’s TV shows include "21st Century Child" and "Families in the Wild" and he has regularly featured on the Ryan Tubridy radio show. David lives in Co Clare and is married with three children, two of whom are teenagers.

The event is hosted by the Belvedere Parents Association to help raise funds for the SDP, established in 1986 out of a desire for the College to be more socially inclusive.
The basis of the program is to offer a six year secondary Jesuit education to students who would not otherwise attend the College due to social and financial barriers. Approximately 10% of the student body attends the school with the support of the SDP.
