History and Past Results

Belvedere started taking part in the West Leinster Schools in 1986. Phillip Conway Physical Education Teacher, encouraged by Gamesmaster Fr. David Touhy S.J, promoted the activity of Running for those interested in improving their cardiovascular fitness. Training was held at Jones Road near Croke Park. A Junior Team Shield was presented for Zone Cross Country in 1977 and a Senior one in 1990. The Confined Development Championships overall team trophy was first presented in 2000.
