Belvedere College - Christmas Craft Fair Workshop 2017

Christmas Craft Fair Workshop 2017

Christmas Craft Fair Workshop 2017

Home Economics Christmas Craft fair 2017 was a great success. It was hosted in Belvedere House following on from the Annual Christmas Carol Service. Students worked tirelessly for eight weeks in advance making food and craft items after school hours. Items such as handmade stockings, Christmas decorations and artisan preserves made by students in Home Economics and Craft Club were sold in aid of charity.  Parents donated and helped with making the craft items as well as a beautifully decorated Christmas cake. Rudiment Students also created a wonderful hand quilted blanket. Some of the grandparents generously donated tasty Christmas puddings. All in all the students learned some new skills for textiles and were able to contribute to the festive spirit of giving in the college. Br. Eamon was delighted to receive over €1700 in donations for the SVDP. The raffle winners included two members of staff- Mr. Ger O’Sullivan and Ms. Claire Broderick. They were delighted with their win.
